King County Elections released a third ballot drop on Thursday, updating returns in local races for city councils, the Highline School Board, the school levy, and the 33rd Legislative District. The latest count shows several lead changes since Election Night, along with continued movement in multiple close contests.


Lead Reversals Since Election Night

33rd Legislative District – State House Position 1

  • Election Night (Day 1): Kevin Schilling led by nearly 3%, now trails by 1%
  • Day 3: Edwin Obras49.69% | Kevin Schilling — 48.62%

Highline School District – School Board District 2

  • Election Night (Day 1): Sue-Ann Hohimer led by nearly 3%, now behind by 2%
  • Day 3: Angelica Alverez50.85% | Sue-Ann Hohimer — 48.61%
    Hohimer lost ground since election night, including a significant loss of 571 votes last night.

SeaTac – City Council Position 6

  • Election Night (Day 1): Michael Sanford and Bedria Abdullahi were nearly tied
  • Day 3: Bedria Abdullahi52.47% | Michael Sanford — 47.04%

Kresly–Van: Still a Close Race, With Kresly Maintaining the Lead

Highline School District – District 3

  • Day 3: Katie Kresly50.39% | Joe Van — 49.16%
    After a 3.7% Election Night lead, Kresly has held the advantage through all three ballot counts, but the margin remains narrow.
