The Brat Trot & Bavarian Fest is back, and the Highline community is invited to join the celebration on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in downtown Burien. With fun runs, festive food, and plenty of family activities, this annual tradition is more than a race — it’s a chance to bring neighbors together in support of Highline students.
What’s Happening
The morning kicks off with two races:
- 5K Fun Run/Walk – winding through Burien’s streets, welcoming runners and walkers alike.
- 1K Kids’ Run – a shorter course for younger participants and families.
Both races start and finish at Burien Town Square Park, creating a central hub of energy and excitement.
After the races, the Bavarian Fest takes over Town Square with:
- German-inspired bites
- Root beer garden
- Family games and activities
- Live music and entertainment
Why Join?

Proceeds from the event benefit the Highline Schools Foundation, which funds classroom grants, student needs, and enrichment programs across the district.
There’s also a $500 prize for the school with the most participants — a fun way to boost school spirit while supporting a great cause.
