For those of us advocating for staff safety and agency, the upcoming bond puts us in a tough spot. Of course, we all want safe, modern, and well-maintained buildings for our educators and students.

However, supporting our schools does not mean we have to write a blank check to an administration that lacks transparency. That is why many of us are choosing to vote "No for Now."

Voting NO doesn’t mean never. It means sending the district back to the drawing board to return with a plan that actually prioritizes accountability. They are asking for $595 million before they have even completed basic site studies for some of these projects, all while holding onto policies that discourage staff from speaking up.

Our educators and students absolutely deserve better buildings, but they also deserve a district that plans responsibly and listens to its staff. By voting "No for Now," we can force the administration to return with a better, more transparent plan that we can actually trust.

Better Plan for Highline | Highline Needs a Better Plan
Vote No for Now on the $595.4 million bond and $48 million technology levy. We support strong schools and a responsible, transparent plan for Highline.
