The Northwest Symphony Orchestra invites the community to an inspiring evening of music with its upcoming concert, Music for the Soul. The Concert will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 8:00 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (42nd SW and SW Genesee, West Seattle). Music includes:
- Symphony No. 4- Anton Bruckner
- Mountain Symphony- Finale- Sarah Bassingthwaighte
- Roseate Reminiscence (World Premiere)- Ian Guthrie
Anton Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No. 4, widely known as the “Romantic” Symphony, is celebrated for its sweeping themes. From its serene opening horn call to its triumphant finale, the symphony offers audiences a rich and emotionally powerful musical journey. Mountain Symphony - by Sarah Bassingthwaighte was written about the Cascade Mountains. Roseate Reminiscence was composed by Ian Guthrie, who is both a young emerging composer and pianist.
The orchestra continues its commitment to making live symphonic music accessible to the community, frequently featuring Northwest composers. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors, and students 18 and under are admitted free. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door beginning 45 minutes before the concert.
