Todd Bloom is running for Washington State Supreme Court to bring independent judgment, practical experience, and a commitment to applying the law as written. He believes Washington voters deserve a meaningful choice for change.
The court’s decisions affect families, businesses, and communities across the state. Todd believes those decisions must follow the Constitution, respect the separation of powers, and treat everyone fairly, without political favoritism.
Todd brings more than 25 years of experience as an attorney, along with his background as a certified public accountant and financial planner. He has worked with major accounting firms, small businesses, retirees, and families, giving him a practical understanding of how laws affect people’s lives.
For nearly 20 years, he has served as a FINRA arbitrator, weighing evidence and resolving complex financial disputes. His service on the Washington State Bar Association Board of Governors also provided experience reviewing rules and recommendations affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.
A former military officer, Todd earned his commission after serving in the enlisted ranks and spent more than a decade on active duty, including deployment to the Persian Gulf. His oath to uphold and defend the Constitution continues to guide his commitment to public service.
Todd believes judges must interpret the law without substituting their personal policy preferences. He respects precedent as a foundation for stability and believes overturning a decision requires a compelling legal justification.
The Supreme Court is a nonpartisan office, and Todd is committed to serving it that way. Every person deserves a fair hearing, regardless of background, political beliefs, or financial circumstances.
Todd is running to strengthen trust in Washington’s highest court through clear legal reasoning, judicial restraint, and fairness. He offers voters the experience and independence to help lead that change.
