Get ready to run and join the Block Party at the 2026 Burien Brat Trot. This community fun run for all ages takes place in downtown Burien on Saturday, October 3. Brat Trot raises funds for the Highline Schools Foundation.

The 5K route runs along 152nd through downtown Burien and surrounding neighborhood streets.
Race Day Schedule
- 8:30–10 a.m. — Check-in and day-of registration
- 10 a.m. — 5K start (untimed)
- Approximately 11 a.m. — Kids 1K start
Stick Around for the Block Party
The fun continues after the races with a post-race block party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along 152nd.
Participants and spectators can enjoy prizes for race winners, treats for everyone, food, beer gardens, kids' activities, and more.
Bring Your Team to the Brat Trot
Teams are encouraged to show up in their wildest costumes and bring plenty of enthusiasm. Team prizes will be awarded for the largest community-based group, including gyms, friends, and clubs.
There are also special incentives for participating schools. Schools with 50 or more participants will receive $100 from the Highline Schools Foundation, while schools with 100 or more participants will receive an additional $100.
After registering for the Brat Trot, participants will be directed to a page where they can create or join a team. If your school isn't listed yet, you can start a team.

Pre-registration ends October 2 at 3 p.m. After that time, registration fees will increase by $5.

Local businesses and organizations can also get involved by sponsoring the event. Sponsorship opportunities start at $500 and include a variety of benefits and marketing opportunities.
