Join The Vintage Band for a heartfelt afternoon of music, history, and reflection in honor of our veterans as they present a special concert. This free concert will be followed by a dinner for attendees.
The performance takes place Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 22975 24th Ave S., Des Moines, WA. Under the skilled direction of John Welsh, this talented ensemble—also known as The Band of the 1900s—will bring to life stirring pieces that honor courage, service, and the enduring power of music.
The program features classics such as “Overture in B♭,” “An Original Suite for Military Band,” and “March from Symphonic Metamorphosis” by Carl Maria von Weber. Listeners will also enjoy timeless melodies like “Simple Gifts” and “Variations on America,” leading into a moving tribute segment dedicated to remembrance.
Following the concert, attendees are invited to share in a community dinner at the church. While there is no admission fee, donations are appreciated to help support the band’s continued performances and outreach.
Come experience an afternoon of music that stirs the soul, celebrates our shared history, and pays tribute to those who have given so much.
