Friday, August 21: Wonka
Before he became the legendary chocolatier known around the world, Willy Wonka was a young dreamer with big ambitions and an even bigger imagination.
Starring Timothée Chalamet as the eccentric chocolatier, Wonka tells the colorful origin story of the beloved character from Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Determined to share his extraordinary chocolate creations with the world, a young Wonka arrives in a town controlled by a powerful chocolate cartel.
With a little help from an unlikely group of friends, Wonka sets out to make his dreams a reality. Along the way, he faces greedy competitors, unexpected challenges, and plenty of chocolate-fueled adventures.
Filled with music, comedy, magic and heart, Wonka offers a whimsical look at the early days of one of literature’s most famous chocolatiers. It is a charming story about imagination, friendship, and believing that dreams really can come true.
