Guests enjoyed holiday shopping and arts and crafts throughout dozens of vendor tents. Food trucks and sweet treats brought even more fun to the festive atmosphere. Choirs and dancers added to the celebration, with performances by the Cascadia Brass Band, the Marvista Elementary Choir, the St. Francis Choir, the Seattle Thrillers Christmas dancers, and the Dickens Carolers of Seattle.
KOMO TV’s Stella Sun emceed the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, joined by the Seattle Mariner Moose, Seahawks Blitz, Ivar’s Clam, and other special guests.
Throughout the evening, more than 800 free toys and Santa hats were shared with children, adding extra joy to the festivities.

The VIP Family Experience honored the Petrini family of Normandy Park. Their youngest member, Pearl, delighted the crowd by flipping the new giant ceremonial light switch, illuminating the community Christmas tree just moments before Santa arrived in a dazzling motorcade. Normandy Park Mayor Eric Zimmerman helped welcome Santa and dignitaries to the stage.
Councilmember Susan West, who was instrumental in orchestrating the event, emphasized the importance of Winterfest as a fun-filled celebration. She shared she was excited to help bring "three hours of joy and happiness" to the local community.
