SeaTac police are investigating after a juvenile was shot in the leg at North SeaTac Park on Wednesday afternoon.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to Harborview after being shot in the leg Wednesday afternoon at North SeaTac Park, the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Deputies serving Burien and SeaTac responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:20 p.m. They found the injured teenager at the park and searched the surrounding area.
The Highline Journal contacted the Sheriff’s Office to confirm an earlier report from the City of SeaTac. A spokesperson said deputies used K-9 teams during the search but “did not locate a weapon.”
The case is now in the hands of detectives. There have been “no arrests at this point,” the spokesperson said, adding that there is no danger to the public.
