Reform Pilates celebrated its grand opening in Normandy Park last Friday, drawing at least 50 people for an afternoon of fitness, food and community.
Owner Jesse Tuttle welcomed friends, family, clients and neighbors who came to celebrate the opening of her new studio, including many who traveled from outside the area. The celebration included a ribbon cutting with Discover Burien. Attendees included Normandy Park Deputy Mayor Sue-Ann Hohimer and Burien City Councilmember Alex Andrade.

Located at 17829 First Ave. S., the new studio features 14 custom Pilates reformers, keeping classes to a maximum of 14 participants.
The studio has already developed some dedicated regulars. One mother-and-daughter pair told The Highline Journal they have been attending classes six days a week since Reform Pilates began its soft opening.

The grand opening brought a steady crowd through the studio, with guests touring the space, talking with instructors and getting a closer look at the equipment.
Outside the workout, there was plenty to enjoy. Guests were treated to complimentary açaí bowls from a local business, cookies, champagne and door prizes. Charm Society, a new local business, offered permanent jewelry, including bracelets for interested visitors.

The sleek new studio created plenty of buzz, with Normandy Park neighbors mingling alongside clients, friends and family who came from across the region to celebrate Tuttle’s new venture.
For Tuttle, the grand opening marked the official beginning of a business that was already building a following before the ribbon was cut.
