Ballots are in voters' hands, and Election Day for Washington's Primary Election is Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026.

There is a low voter turnout so far, so it's critical to take the time to vote.

If you live in Burien, SeaTac, Normandy Park or Des Moines, now is a good time to fill out your ballot and make a plan to return it.

Ways to vote

Washington votes entirely by mail. You can:

  • Mail your ballot (no stamp required). It must be postmarked by Tuesday, Aug. 4.
  • Use an official King County ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
  • Visit a King County Vote Center if you need to register, update your registration, replace a lost ballot, or receive voting assistance.
