Families are invited to celebrate America with a free, hands-on educational event later this month at Normandy Park City Hall.

“Our 50 States!” will take place on Saturday, March 28, from 2 to 3 p.m. The interactive program is designed for kids and families, but the entire community is welcome to attend.

The event begins with an engaging show featuring a giant map of the United States, followed by more than 15 activity stations where participants can explore American history and geography in creative ways. Activities include:

  • Reading the Declaration of Independence
  • Learning about American flag designs through the years
  • Matching photos to their correct states
  • Completing puzzles and trivia challenges
  • Filling in a U.S. map with the states you know

The program is presented by Alder Tree Education and sponsored by the City of Normandy Park. Organizers note that with America turning 250 in 2026, the event offers a timely opportunity to learn more about the nation’s history while having fun.

Normandy Park City Hall is located at 801 SW 174th Street. For more information, call (206) 248-7603.

Mark your calendar and bring the whole family for an afternoon of interactive learning and community celebration.
