Local attorney and Highline parent Kristen Price says she plans to sue Highline Public Schools over delayed public records responses and transparency.

Federal lawsuit alleges Sylvester Middle School student was barred from sharing Christian materials and denied a religious accommodation during a mandatory school assembly.

The Highline Board approved a $658 million budget, bond and technology levy measures, strategic plan, and superintendent contract extension.

Three residents urged greater transparency, questioned declining reserves and spending priorities, and commented before Highline's July 1 budget vote.
