Looking for a memorable summer outing? Pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and enjoy a FREE Shakespeare in the Park performance of Macbeth, playing at several locations around the Puget Sound.

Performances are by professional actors through Wooden O, a core program of the Union Arts Center. Last July, the ACT Theatre and Seattle Shakespeare Company merged to become the Union Arts Center.

This year's featured production is Macbeth, Shakespeare's gripping tale of ambition, power, and betrayal. One of the Bard's most celebrated tragedies, Macbeth follows a Scottish nobleman whose encounter with three mysterious witches sets him on a dangerous path toward the throne. Alongside his equally ambitious wife, Macbeth will stop at nothing to seize power, unleashing a chain of events filled with dark magic, political intrigue, and devastating consequences.

Known as Shakespeare's most electrifying thriller, Macbeth delivers unforgettable characters, chilling prophecies, dramatic battles, and some of the most famous scenes in all of theatre. Whether you're a longtime Shakespeare fan or experiencing the play for the first time, this outdoor production offers a unique opportunity to enjoy classic theater in a beautiful park setting.

Bring family and friends, spread out your blanket, and settle in for an evening of live performance beneath the open sky.
