Residents interested in learning more about the proposed expansion of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport are invited to attend a Community Event on Wednesday, June 17, to break down the recently released Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP).

5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Glacier Middle School Cafeteria
2450 S. 142nd Street, SeaTac

The goal of open house is to translate the Port's (DEIS) complex report into information that is accessible and relevant to residents. Community members will learn that there are big airport decisions hidden in the technical language of the 6,000+ page DEIS document.

The DEIS, prepared as part of the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) review process, examines the potential environmental impacts of planned airport expansion projects. Residents will learn what is at stake in the airport expansion process, discover how proposed changes could affect surrounding neighborhoods, and be prepared with the knowledge to take action.

Residents are encouraged to bring their questions and share their perspectives as the region continues to debate the future of Sea-Tac Airport and its role in accommodating growing air travel demand.

Attendees do not need to be experts to participate.
