This year, more than ever, local food banks welcome donations of food and money.  As we approach Thanksgiving, many families are feeling the impact of reduced aid from government programs for food and other basic needs.

One place to donate food is at the intersection of 200th SW and 3rd SW in Normandy Park. You can vote on whether two Turkeys should be pardoned or turned into someone’s Thanksgiving turkey by putting your donations in the barrel of your choice. All donations go to local food banks. Thank you to the Krull family for this wonderful and fun tradition!

Here are some food banks in the area. Follow the links for hours of donation drop-off and the needs they are requesting.
