Normandy Park will welcome a new locally owned wellness business this week as Reform Pilates celebrates its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Aug. 7, at 4 p.m.
Located at 17829 First Ave. S., the new studio is inviting the public to tour the facility, meet its instructors and learn about its reformer Pilates classes for beginners and experienced participants alike.
According to the Reform Pilates website, the studio focuses on helping clients improve strength, balance, flexibility and overall wellness through reformer Pilates.
The opening adds another locally owned small business to Normandy Park while expanding health and wellness options for residents. Rather than traveling to studios in neighboring communities, area residents will have access to classes designed for a wide range of ages, fitness levels and personal goals.
The grand opening celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, studio tours, refreshments, opportunities to meet the instructors and other special activities. Community members are encouraged to stop by, explore the new studio and learn more about the programs being offered.
According to the Reform Pilates website, owner Jesse Tuttle envisioned the studio as more than a place to exercise.
“I wanted to create more than just a fitness studio,” Tuttle says on the website. “I wanted a space where people could come exactly as they are and leave feeling stronger, more confident and more connected to their bodies.”
