A 76 gas station at Ambaum Boulevard SW and SW 126th Street in Burien has been robbed three times in the past month, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
KCSO confirmed Monday morning that robberies were reported at the same location on August 18, September 11 and September 19.
“I see three robberies at this location in the past few weeks,” KCSO Sgt. D. Thomas told The Highline Journal. The Sheriff’s Office said it did not have additional information to release at this time.
According to KIRO 7, during the most recent robbery Saturday night, a cashier was held at gunpoint. Security video showed a man dressed in dark clothing with his face covered pointing a handgun at the employee and demanding money.
Station owner Atinder Dahb told KIRO 7 that approximately $4,000 to $5,000 in cash was stolen across the three robberies, along with cigars and other merchandise. He said employees and customers are increasingly concerned about their safety.
Dahb also told KIRO 7 that he plans to spend about $15,000 to install bullet-resistant glass around the cashier area and plans to be at the station during night shifts to support his employees.
The three robberies remain under investigation.
